Recent research suggests that people who are at risk for a heart attack may want to be extra cautious when the weather starts to cool off.
According to a report in the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper, people who have been taking aspirin for a long period of time are at less of a risk. Researchers also reportedly found little heart attack risk associated with higher temperatures, although the newspaper noted that Britain’s cooler climate may have been a factor in this area of the study.
Heart attacks can affect even younger and seemingly healthier people, which is one reason why it’s wise to invest in a life insurance policy. This is especially true for people who have young children or dependent older relatives.
According to the American Heart Association, more than 697,000 people die of heart attacks each year in the United States, which accounts for about one in five of all deaths nationwide.
