Keith A. Buck
Keith A. Buck, J.D., LLM, CLU, FLMI, is an Assistant Vice President with Pacific Life’s Advanced Designs Unit. He has over twenty-three years of experience working in the life insurance industry as an estate and business planning attorney. As part of his role at Pacific Life, Keith provides support to life insurance producers and professional advisors on a variety of estate, business, and retirement planning issues. He also travels extensively where he gives presentations to life insurance producers and professional advisors. He has spoken at several national industry conferences such as the MDRT Top of the Table Conference, LIMRA Advanced Sales Conference, and the AALU Annual Meeting. He has also had several articles published in various publications, including Best’s Review, Journal of Financial Service Professionals, Estate Planning Journal, and Steve Leimberg’s LISI newsletter.
Keith obtained his law degree from Drake Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. While at Drake, Keith was the Projects Editor of the Drake Law Review and, ultimately, graduated Order of the Coif. He subsequently went on to receive his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation from Boston University Law School. He also holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) designations.
Keith resides in Laguna Niguel, California with his wife, Sharon, and their five boys.

A nationally known speaker, Leimberg has addressed the Miami (Heckerling) Estate Planning Institute, the NYU Tax Institute, the Notre Dame Law School and Duke University Law School’s Estate Planning Conference, The American Bar Association Planning Techniques for Large Estate and Sophisticated Planning Techniques courses of study, the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, and the AICPA’s National Estate Planning Forum. Leimberg has also spoken to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Leimberg, a 2004 recipient of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils Distinguished Accredited Estate Planner award, was named 1998 Edward N. Polisher Lecturer of the Dickinson School of Law, and was awarded the Excellence in Writing Award of the American Bar Association’s Probate and Property Section. He has been honored as Estate Planner of the Year by the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council and as Distinguished Estate Planner by the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. He is also the recipient of the President’s Cup of the Philadelphia Life Underwriters, a three-time Boris Todorovitch Lecturer, and the first Ben Feldman Lecturer.
