- U.S. cigarettes most dangerous

- Research by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that U.S. brands of cigarettes are the most harmful to smoke.
The study discovered that the level of specific nitrosamines found in cigarettes varies by country, but cigarettes in the U.S. contain the highest and most harmful levels.
U.S. cigarette brands are made with an "American blend" of tobacco, reports the CDC, while those found in Australia, Canada and the U.K. use a "bright" tobacco.
