- Obesity rates across the globe have doubled since 1980

- Worldwide obesity rates have doubled in the last 30 years, according to several studies published in journal the Lancet.
According to the study, in 1980 4.8 percent of men and 7.9 percent of women on earth were obese, compared to 2008, when that figure grew to 9.8 percent of men and 13.8 percent of women.Full Story »

- It's difficult for people to prevent or treat a health condition they aren't aware of. High blood pressure is one disease that seems to be off the radar for many men, according to a recent study.
Data from the World Congress of Cardiology reveals that young, unmarried men are less likely to be aware of high blood pressure and less likely to be getting treatment for the condition than any other population segment.Full Story »
